Prof. Dr. Mehmet SARAÇ

Prof. Mehmet Saraç graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Business in 1990. He completed his master’s program at the same Faculty in Accounting Department in 1992 and received a master’s degree in Accounting and Taxation from The George Washington University in 1997. He later acquired his PhD in Finance from Boğaziçi University in 2004. He served as research assistant in Boğaziçi University between 1998-2006. Between 2007-2014, he served as lecturer first in Sakarya University and then received Associate Professor title and served as Founder and Chairman of Department of Islamic Economics and Finance. He continued his studies as visiting professor at Istanbul Commerce University between 2010-2012 and at Istanbul Şehir University between 2014-2015. Between 2016-2019, he served as one of the Founders and Director of Center for Islamic Economics and Finance at Istanbul University. He also served as member of advisory board at Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD) between 2015-2018. He continues his studies as Prof. Dr in Istanbul University since year 2014 and as a member of the Advisory Board at Research Center for Islamic Economics (IKAM) since year 2016.

Prof. Dr. Şevket TOPAL

Şevket Topal graduated from Faculty of Theology at Marmara University in 1992. He received his master’s degree at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Institute of Social Sciences in 1995 and doctorate degree at the same university in 2000. He continued his studies as research assistant at Yüzüncü Yıl University between years 1993-1995 and his studies in Islamic Law at the same university between years 2001-2007. He served as research assistant at Ondokuz Mayıs University between years 1995-2001. He continues his studies in Department of Fundamental Islamic Sciences, Department of Islamic Law at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University since 2007.
